watching the downpour under a temple bell -Issa sometimes it pours I lingered in Astoria having breakfast out, relishing supplies, finishing my coffee. Tour 2009: day 6

Today’s tale begins and ends on beaches on the Oregon Coast seperated by 60 miles of pedaling. The first beach was Cannon which I walked for a half an hour or so before I checked out of my hotel. Tour 2009: day 5

I was awoken around six by howling winds;  hoping it’d die down I went back to sleep. At eight the wind is, if anything, worse now with lashing rain. This is bad news as I have to cross the Astoria-Megler Bridge today. So I lingered at Cape Disappointment:  I took a shower, leisurely made breakfast and packed up.
